Main Purpose: Provide engineering oversight, direction and leadership to the maintenance department and to ensure the effective management of all operations within the department.

Minimum Requirements: BSc. Eng. or B. Eng. or B. Tech. Eng. Electrical / Mechanical Engineering *GCC (Government Certificate of Competency) Factories

The following will be advantageous:

a) Certified Asset Manager or Certified Asset
b) Management Assessor with the South African Asset
c) Management Association / Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional

A minimum of 10 years in Electrical or Mechanical engineering field within the maintenance environment. Experience in Engineering Assets Management and Maintenance Engineering. Management and Financial management competence. Experience in managing medium to large teams in an engineering environment. Knowledge of OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) Act. Financial Management skills. 7 years relevant experience at senior management level, ideally in Water and Sanitation Environment. 7 years relevant experience in managing professionals across multi-disciplinary teams, in medium to large operations.

*Master’s degree will be advantageous.
