Efficient service delivery occurs in three main areas, namely:
Maintenance Engineering
This includes maintenance services on mechanical, electrical and instrumentation (MEI) to all ERWAT wastewater treatment works and the City of Ekurhuleni’s pump stations.
Physical Asset Management
This includes the conduct of asset condition assessments as well as the development and maintenance of asset registers. Together with planning and reliability engineering, the primary responsibility is to conduct asset life-cycle analyses focusing on analysing of trends, events and developments and integrating these with the associated management realities.
Planning and Reliability Engineering
ERWAT provides an extremely useful software-driven tool, which can be used for workflow management, planning, scheduling and budget preparation and tracking. Reliability engineering focuses on predictive and preventative maintenance, condition monitoring and equipment testing. It also offers technical consultations and recommendations for new assets/equipment for wastewater engineering.
