ERWAT recently participated in a study by the NICD regarding the presence of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in raw sewage. The focus of this research was on the occurrence, abundance and diversity of AMR as detected in sewage samples collected from 2 WWTPs in Pretoria and 2 WWTPs in Ekurhuleni. Link
